About Me

My family and I have returned to our roots here in Australia after seven and a half years living in Salt Lake City, USA.

I am an honest, friendly, down to earth person. I love to meet and connect with new people of all backgrounds. I love to laugh. I constantly work on myself. (I secretly love personality tests.)

I’ve been tinkering with photography for over twenty years: taking classes, obsessing over books, doing workshops online. I started my photography business in the USA after a ten year stint working for government on coastal policy/coastal natural resource management in Perth and Melbourne.

I believe life can be challenging as well as hilarious and many things in between – and that most of us are doing our best. I am learning so much about life and myself from my two kids.

I couldn’t live without good espresso coffee, travel, our garden and walking our dog in the bush. We live in Olinda in the Dandenong Ranges in an earth sheltered house with a roof top vegetable garden.

When I am not photographing clients I am photographing my kids and a number of different personal projects.

I contribute to boutique stock photography agency Offset.

Your session

Your photos will be authentic and honest, no matter the type of session we are working on together. During our session I will strive to capture real moments. I’ve always loved watching and understanding people and I think this comes through in my work.

Whether we are working on a commercial project together, a portrait session, or a family session: I will help you feel at home and capture your real self, using light in the best way possible.

You could say my style is documentary (documenting what is in front of me), though it is not photojournalism in the strictest sense (I want to capture the best parts of you).

I will chat with you. I might ask you to repeat a motion I liked. If I sense you are uncomfortable I will help you relax. I may give lots of guidance – this all depends on you and the type of session we are doing.

I love collaborating with other artists and makers. Please get in touch with your idea!
